The first national edition of Hult Prize Senegal brings together 20 finalist teams from leading schools across the country. The competition is structured around two key moments: an online semifinal and an in-person grand final.
Online semifinal
The teams are divided into two groups of 10. After the online pitches, four teams will be shortlisted for the in-person final.
In-person grand final
The qualified teams pitch in front of the final jury, partners, UNESCO representatives, the event patron, and invited guests.
Stage 1 - Wednesday, May 6, 2026
Teams and juries connect online, followed by a technical check.
Introduction to Hult Prize Senegal 2026 and the purpose of the session.
Presentation of the 6 jury members and reminder of the evaluation criteria.
The 20 teams are split into two virtual rooms with 10 teams per group.
Both groups pitch in parallel: 4 minutes of pitch, 4 minutes of jury questions, and 1 minute of transition per team.
Results will be shared on Thursday, May 7 after final jury deliberation.
Stage 2 - Saturday, May 9, 2026
Welcome of the 4 qualified teams, guests, jury members, and partners.
Program introduction, coordination remarks, team support remarks, patron address, and institutional partner remarks.
Presentation of the final jury and reminder of the evaluation criteria.
Each team gets 4 minutes to pitch, 5 minutes for questions, and 1 minute to transition.
The jury withdraws while a recap video of the program is shown in the room.
Announcement of the Jury Favorite Prize, 2nd Prize, and 1st Prize.
Awards ceremony, finalist certificates, and recognition of the organizing committee.
Group photos, networking, refreshments, and official closing of the event.
